Hormone Replacement FAQ

What is Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)?

Hormone Replacement Therapy is a personalized treatment designed to restore hormone balance and improve symptoms related to aging, menopause, perimenopause, and andropause. Therapy may help support energy, mood, sleep, metabolism, sexual wellness, and overall quality of life.

What symptoms can HRT help with?

HRT may help improve fatigue, weight changes, brain fog, mood changes, hot flashes, night sweats, sleep concerns, low libido, hair thinning, and skin changes.

How do I get started?

Your journey begins with an Initial HRT Consultation where we review your symptoms, medical history, lifestyle factors, and goals. Personalized lab work is ordered to guide safe, effective treatment planning.

Do I start treatment the same day as my consult?

Most patients begin treatment after labs are reviewed. Your consultation fee includes a follow-up visit to discuss results and determine your individualized treatment plan.

What lab work is required?

Labs are tailored to your symptoms and history but commonly include hormone levels, thyroid markers, and general wellness labs to ensure safe therapy and appropriate dosing.

What types of HRT are available?

Treatment options may include pellet therapy, topical creams or gels, injections, oral therapy, and nutraceutical support. Your provider will recommend the best option based on your labs, symptoms, and preferences.

How long does it take to feel results?

Some patients notice improvements within a few weeks, while full benefits may take 2–3 months depending on the therapy type and individual response.

Is HRT safe?

HRT can be safe and effective when appropriately prescribed and monitored. We follow evidence-based guidelines, thorough screening, and routine lab monitoring to ensure your therapy remains safe and optimized.

How often will I need follow-up visits?

Follow-up timing varies by therapy type but typically includes routine lab monitoring and visits every few months to assess response and make adjustments as needed.

Does insurance cover HRT?

Consultations and treatments are generally self-pay. Lab work may be billed through insurance depending on your plan. Our team will review costs and options with you before proceeding.

Who is not a candidate for HRT?

Certain medical conditions may require additional evaluation or alternative approaches. Your provider will review your history and labs to determine if HRT is appropriate and safe for you.

What happens if I stop HRT?

Stopping therapy may lead to the gradual return of symptoms as hormone levels decline. Your provider can help you taper or transition therapy safely if needed.
