FAQs

  • Do I need labs before starting?

Yes. Labs are required before starting our medical weight management program to ensure treatment is safe and appropriate. We accept labs completed within the past 6 months, or we can order them during your consultation if needed.

  • Do I have to use injections?

We offer both oral and injectable medications, with the flexibility to receive injections in our office or conveniently administer them at home.

  • How often are follow-up visits?

You'll have a monthly follow-up with our APRN, either in person or through telehealth, to monitor your progress and adjust your treatment plan as needed. An in-office visit is required at least every 3 months to ensure safe, effective care.

  • Does insurance cover weight loss medication?

We do not accept insurance for our weight management program. However, some prescriptions may be covered by your insurance if eligible.  We encourage everyove to talk with their primary care provider to detemine insurance coverage treatment.  We also offer affordable self-pay options and financing through CareCredit, Sunbit, and PatientFi.

  • What kind of results can I expect?

Most patients notice reduced appetite and early weight loss within the first few weeks, with more noticeable results over 4-6 weeks. Healthy, sustainable weight loss is typically 1–2 pounds per week, though results vary based on your treatment plan and lifestyle

  • Are there any side effects?

Most patients tolerate treatment well. Common side effects may include nausea, constipation, diarrhea, decreased appetite, or mild fatigue, especially when starting treatment or increasing your dose
